One of these years, something voraciously lethal like Ebola will appear as airborne infective. The effete societies that consider themselves masters of the world will get a shocking comeuppance.
If a business develops a bad reputation – even over things largely out of its control – it can still hurt it and even close it down. We had a country-western bar that boasted about “being all 2nd Amendment” and allowed patrons to bring their guns inside… had several shootouts inside and in the parking lot, and a regular patron who was found to be a serial killer… before the city could jump through all the legal hoops to shut it down, it closed on its own because people were afraid to go there.
I’m wondering if we’ll have other businesses fail if they develop reputations as COVID super-spreader centers…
My casual observation of people in the hinterlands of hyper-GOP controlled deepest Indyannie leads me to calculate that 80% or so of the population have jettisoned face coverings of any kind. A significant percentage of the others STILL wear their masks improperly. Well, that COVID bug has said, “I’ll be back.”
I started on a Corona beer diet 14 months ago and I am still here—well in the basement, behind the furnace next to the cat’s litter box- but on a serious note, what you may think is your right not to follow life saving rules-endangering others isn’t—get smart and get your shots.
