    Asking the obvious is a great ice-breaker when first speaking to a stranger, ie “You think it might rain today?” when it is actually pouring down.

    Driving in the rain while listening to the radio and the radio host came on and said “Weather forecast says a 10% chance of rain but the windows says 100%.”

    I wish it looked like rain. It’s been bone dry all winter and spring. (Are bones dry?) The creek beds are overgrown with weeds and the reservoirs shallow mud puddles. I foresee another summer of forest fires and smoky air.
