Jef Mallett’s Blog Posts Frazz13 hrs · http://www.gocomics.com/frazz/2021/06/10I’ve got more than a few teachers in my cadre of readers, for which I am grateful and which admittedly stresses me out, as I want to make sure I’m doing them justice. Also, because I know I can’t make errors without getting busted for it. It’s tough to fool teachers. (Would have been handy to know that when I was a student.)
I’ve known enough teachers to be confident that I suspect most are like Mrs. Olsen and their favorite things about teaching are diverse abundant enough that they have to be rotated. And I suspect at the top of the rotation is the fact that in the best of classrooms, the one learning the most is the teacher. Doughnuts was funnier and more succinct, but we know.

It’s one thing. Just one thing. Mrs Olsen must be related to Curly.

Mrs. Olsen’s method: whatever a student learns on his/her own is better than anything gotten from easy answer or lectures.

In the last panel, is she getting ready to punch the pest?

I like that Mrs. Olsen is brilliantly coaxing Caulfield to become a bit more insightful…. whether he wants to or not.

Mrs. Olsen probably gets underestimated a lot…and I’ll bet that’s exactly how she wants it!

Today she taught Caulfield something he didn’t already know.
