My father once had a mustache, but that was for a little while while he and my mother were first married. According to this one photograph, he looked like — my opinion — Tom Selleck. Growing up, I just knew him without a mustache which he still doesn’t have.
Oh, wow! Talk about a coincidence. As I read this comic, I’m listening to the CD “The Process” by Brave Combo from Denton, TX! And the track “Denton, Texas” was just ending as I began reading it.
My recently deceased wife was “when” mine needed trimming. She would either say trim it or she would trim it. I have had a mustache for the 35 years I had known her except for a short period. She didn’t like me not having it so I regrew it and every year I would grow a goatee and shave it in the spring because I would get too hot. She made me quit shaving it off. Now that she is gone I can’t bring myself to shave it off even though it makes me hot. It is short but I still have it.

Today’s “Brewster Rocket” is relevant. Ay least for now.

At the beginning of COVID, I went about two and a half months without barbering. Looked like Karl Marx.

I trim my beard and mustache weekly. My wife is happy to put up with facial hair, but if it isn’t well trimmed there are “consequences.”
