All the years I was growing up, Nancy was a mischievous little girl with a smile on her face. She faced the everyday problems of life with compassion, grit and some humor. Today, she’s mean and manipulative. She is dishonest in ways that she never would have been under the previous artist. It appears that the current artist is using the strip to vent whatever anger she may feel and project that anger on the public. It’s time to get another artist, one who appreciates the beauty and innocence of childhood and knows how to project that loving kindness through Nancy, Sluggo and their playmates. Hatred as displayed by the current artist really has no place in the long, compassionate, humorous history of Nancy.

I’m in this picture and I don’t like it. I’ve had the “oh god what if I mortified that person?” reaction soooooo many times.

Could be worse. Could be scab picking.

It took me at least a minute to get this one. I eventually realised that Sluggo is doing the mental equivalent of bruise poking.

Today’s comic is just too damn good!!!! Today’s comic really hit home for me. It is actually rather profound.

Don’t mind me. I’m over here engaged in agonized soul-searching because a guy in traffic called me an asshole yesterday.
