I watched Fosse/Verdon last week & suffered thru days of Hey Big Spender… until I watched Rocketman yesterday. Now it’s I’m Still Standing.

This is an excellent example of the unspoken rule, stating that when a song’s cover (or remake) becomes popular, you never hear the original again.

Yes… although derided for Disco, the 70s had a vast variety of music. (I’ve always wondered how Blue Swede happened on the Oogah Chakka chant as a background)
