Critical race theory’s core idea is that racism is a social construct, and that it is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies. But today, instead of studying and trying to resolve deeply interwoven policies, people are lazy and just like to claim to be “woke” and then point fingers. Yeah, it is no surprise that minorities distrust whites when whites have had the upper hand in creating this social construct… but merely pointing fingers and making demands is not going to solve anything.
Research Marxi$t root$ of CRT = more Divide & Conquer, Destroy Families/Society…..create more of “plantation’/”victim"/DEPENDENCY Class. Similar to BLM’s “mission statement”.
Actually, it is in response to the cultural efforts to sweep America’s dismal history in regards to racial relations under the carpet. I never heard of the Tulsa massacre, or the host of other atrocities against blacks and Asians, until I was grown. After the Tulsa riots, newspapers reporting the crime were collected and destroyed and other steps were taken to remove traces of the event.
this is the 2nd cartoon Gorrell has done about Critical Race Theory where all he does is label it ‘bad’ because that’s what right wing media is angry about this week.

what exactly do you have an issue with?
it’s pretty insane that the first time many Americans learned of the Tulsa Massacre was in a comic book TV series Watchman on HBO. Kinda feels like something we should’ve learned about in school.
Woke (/ˈwoʊk/ WOHK) is a term that refers to awareness of issues that concern social justice and racial justice. It is sometimes used in the African-American Vernacular English expression stay woke.
Most white folks don’t want to know or believe that they are beneficiaries of 400 years of rape, robbery, torture, and murder. I can trust a white person, but it is dangerous to trust white people. They are so violent that they let their mentally ill cousins own AR-15’s.
Pfft. Gorrell knows what it is, as does anyone who pays attention for a few minutes. But he thinks this is funny, I think. And of course makes the usual white supremacist / GQP point that even mentioning “race” is offensive and wrong.
Max Horkheimer, (Marxist), first defined “critical theory” in a 1937 essay contrasting it with what he called “traditional theory,” which simply tries to understand and explain a phenomenon. Critical theory, however is a theory is critical to the extent that it tries “to liberate human beings from the circumstances that enslave them” and “to create a world which satisfies” their “needs and powers.”
Who benefits?” Once a “prosperous” group is identified, critical “theorists” then take the prosperity itself as dispositive evidence that the group in question has organized the social order in such a way as to exploit others and benefit themselves. No (or very little) room is permitted for impersonal, incidental, or individual explanatory factors. Almost every social malady is the fault of an oppressor class.
In this respect, critical theorists take their lead from Marx’s line, inscribed on his headstone: that “philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point, however, is to change it.”
