That’s when you know you are getting older; You stop subtracting ten years and add it instead.

Someone recently asked me how old I am. I told him and he said “You sure don’t look it.” I thanked him and he said “I guess that could be taken two ways.”

In that case, you’re not looking so good.

Sometimes I get kinda down about how old I am, so I don’t add any years to my age. I don’t think I would want to make myself feel ten year worse.

My mind wants me to still act like a 17 year old, but my body reminds me that I am 70 years old. Parts of me don’t feel a day over 90.

That doesn’t work all the time. When I was 17 I tried saying I was 10 years older when I tried getting into an adult club, and they said, “Not a chance! Come back Sonny, in 5 years when you turn 19.”

I’ve done that. Then people tell you how great you look!

Since I believe that life begins at conception, I thought I should start by Social Security benefits 9 months prior to my “full retirement age”, but they didn’t buy it.

I have been doing that for years with my avatar. I don’t wear glasses, not yet retired, so compared to Earl, I am cat’s pajamas, bee’s knees even.

Smart move. I do the same though not by choice. My wife is 8 years older than me so she makes me say that I am older than I am for her own personal reasons…..

This optical illusion can be used on your weight too. Buy clothes a size bigger and you’ll be asked if you’re loosing weight.

Well, people judge your age by your physical appearance and not what you tell them.

The only time that someone adding years to their estimate of my age, really irritates me, is when THEY are very close to my age.

I got carded at age 29. I’ll be 74 this month. In the service in 69 and 70 they special entertainment comprising of Big Brother and the Holding Company and Strawberry Alarm Clock in the NCO Club. If you were not an NCO you stamped that you were under age, even thou I was 22 at the time. Draftee in the Marines.

Mom said the secret was to pick an age… and stick with it. Unfortunately, by the time she told me that I was already ten years older than her.
