I recall a Red Green episode where the Possum Lodge gang attempted to make wine; they made glass cleaner instead.

I made some amateur alcoholic cider, once. Not on purpose, though, I just forgot I had bought non-alcoholic cider until it was too late.

My parents made wine on occasion. It was pretty nasty, and was mostly used to soak fruitcake in. It was made from muscadines, a wild grape that tastes like battery acid.

I remember drinking a bottle of homemade wine as a 14-year-old while a couple buddies split a half-case of beer. Hoo BOY! First time I’d ever been under the affluence of incohol and the evening did not end well, especially after drinking a tall glass of milk when I got home before going to a spinning bed. Hello again, my chicken & dumplings dinner. I put my sheets, blanket and bedspread into the washing machine and started a load after 10, which (of course) brought my curious mom down to my room, where she found me trying to sleep under my jacket.

We had “the talk” the next day and I still can’t drink a glass of wine without that memory. I also get queasy whenever I even look at a bottle of Southern Comfort, but that’s another story.

The Red Green Show making wine (among other things). Look at about 12:30 for a start of the serious fun.

Let’s see, Roger: could you turn your backyard into a vineyard? Typical suburban lot might net you a bottle or two. Of course, it would be at least five years before the vines were mature enough to produce grapes…

My brother made the BEST Raspberry wine from raspberries he grew himself. Man. Was it great.

There was a call-back to this arc this April (spoilers I guess) https://www.gocomics.com/foxtrot/2021/04/25

I brewed beer for 20 years. Some batches were excellent, some not so much. My supplier quit the business and the ingredients from my new supplier didn’t work out. Got tired of the exploding bottles and crappy beer.

Almost everyone’s talking about wine and my first thought was… “hey, I still have my copies of Diablo and Diablo 2 (with the movie DVD).”

I’ve known a few folks that have gotten pretty far into this a few of which never did make a palatable bottle of wine. Good luck Roger!

My parents friends made parsnip wine.

I don’t like parsnips but the wine was to die for.

My dad used to make wine. All I remember is that “smell”. When I tried wine for the first time, that’s all I smelled in the glass. Never been able to get past that and drink it.
