Batster was right yesterday. Archival has written a release claiming that Mysta and Vera eloped! Honeymoon knows from her conversation with Mysta at poolside (which many here thought had little to do with the story) what Mysta really thinks of Vera and Honeymoon will know that Mysta would never marry Vera.
Love the differing expressions on Mysta’s face! They really draw you into her character. Meanwhile, the delight on Vera’s face in panel three tells us he might be willing to rethink this captivity thing if it means pretending to be married to Mysta. Blech! Once again, beautiful work by Joe Staton and Shelley Pleger, even though the coloring is still off. Bravo!
I really like the facial expressions Joe has been giving Mysta the last few days. Rather than looking like a porcelain doll she is reacting like a real person.
I made a similar comment to Charlie Wise during his Mysta Minit Mystery. (I think that last phrase might be a tongue-twister.)
You all do realize that, were this a 40s-style Hollywood rom-com, Vera and Mysta would indeed end up in love, and legitimately married. (After a variety of zany occurrences.) There are those here who have pushed the idea, and I have to say that I would find it interesting.
There’s something else: Is Vera a one-man team, like Charles Schulz was? Does Vera ink, letter, and color the Sundays all by himself? I suppose it’s possible, what with the hardware and software available today, but I haven’t heard of anyone doing it. If he isn’t a loner, won’t his teammates get suspicious?
If I was Lizz, Honeymoon or Tess; I would be put out from not getting a call from the happy couple. They will smell a fish out of water as they know Mysta would not Moonlight them.
MYSTA , is depicted just fantastic today . Frame one the probes are not showing the energy and in the least frame ?? I don’t blame her for not wanting him , his hair is just not something to love . Sorry but I still do not get what is going on here .
And, of course, the media is not interested in getting pictures of the honeymoon, finding out details of the wedding (witnesses, officiant, location, etc.), or anything else once an elopement is announced? Sorry, being asked to believe the media goes, “Ho-hum, we never need to cover those celebrities again, they eloped,” requires more imagination that finding people with telepathic and electric powers living on the moon.
STAN LEE: I told you not to look so soon after you’d eaten.
2-VERA: WOW! We had a really nice wedding! A Disco Ball and everything! Look how happy we are!
3-HORNY: WE’RE NOT REALLY MARRIED, YOU IDIOT!
VERA: Of course not. Not until we consummate the wedding. Then it’s official. HUBBA HUBBA! Say…should we use protection or do we want kids right away? No matter. My boys won’t be held back by a little thing like a…
Interesting scenes today…..a story that looks like it belongs in The National Enquirer. Pictures that have to be photo shopped. And Vera is having a “fantasy”. The look is in his eyes.
Interesting, in the photo (I’m assuming it’s a photoshopped photo) in panel 2, the waves from Mysta’s antennae are visible. Do those things show up in photographs, even fake ones? Were they just a mistake, on Joe’s part when he drew the panel? Or is this maybe the small mistake by Archival that gives everything away….
Vera must have a sweet deal with the content agency syndicating J. Straightedge Trustworthy – he can turn in strips at the last moment, and just leave on vacation at a moment’s notice by having his assistant send in reruns :)
There is no way any sane person who knows Mysta and Vile would believe that fake news story! The only question I can see is, who will spot it and call it out first? Honeymoon? Junior Tracy? Sam Catchem? Tracy himself?
Surely, someone will recognize that the story is a fake and soon enough suspicion will fall on Brock Archival, the last verifiable appointment of Alldone and Chimera….

Archival’s artist should consider going solo. I am sure that there will be many who would avail of his services with the kind of talent that he has.

I should’ve written, “…write, ink, letter the weeklies and also color the Sundays?”

Enjoying this story… perhaps Honeymoon will pick up a weak signal and come to her rescue?

Won’t this just raise Tracy’s suspicions, since he would be almost certain that didn’t happen?

ALLDID: Hey, what about me?
