At the crucial moment, Tarzan slipped and puddy tat overshot his prey.

A lion can’t beat a human in a Marathon. However, in a sprint, humans don’t have a chance (lions clock in at 46 mph in short sprints). Oddly enough they can also climb trees better than humans (although Tarzan, raised by primates) is surely faster than the average bear. (Let’s see if anyone misses the reference and reminds me that bears don’t climb trees especially well.)

If Tarzan were given enough of a head start the lion wouldn’t stand a chance, but this was planned as a hunt, it was planned as execution by lion.

Tarzan really kicking up a cloud of dust as he does an impression of Usain Bolt.

I say the lion lasts 6 comic frames before Tarzan finishes him.

I’m calling a foul on Nemone. When Tarzan was on the previous hunt they let the guy get to the treeline before they released the lion. They released the lion a lot earlier in today’s strip. That’s a 50 yard penalty and a replay of the down.
