For some reason, my outlook reverts to yesteryear…when things were not so complicated, electronic devices meant turning a lamp on or the 5" tube TV….reading a real book and or a newspaper, personal business was private…..stop the world, I want to get off!
“Aquarius! There’s travel in your future When your tongue freezes to the back of a speeding bus, Fill that void in your pathetic life By playing whack-a-mole 17 hours a day… That’s your horoscope for today!” (Weird Al)
My fortunes are always like that. I’m capable of objective introspection. I know what I need to do to stimulate personal growth. Fortunes are supposed to be fun.
In fact, it was only my good fortune that the christening was held on a Saturday morning, and I still recovering from some celebratory libations the evening prior, that I failed to respond clumsily and embarrassingly when the child was named. There was no way I could have been properly prepared. I had no way of knowing beforehand that “Flappy” was an old family name that had been passed down for generations in the Buttzceecz family.
For those of you who are rubes, I’ll explain what’s going on: Teresa Burritt has financial and ideological ties to Big Idea, i.e., the new ideas industry.
New ideas are few and precious. But there is no correlation between them and my generally skeptical outlook. I can have the most wonderful New Idea and still be a well-nigh professional grouch!
One day, my naive baby, when you have grown up, you will realize the truth of my commentary….

To be perfectly honest, I’m not actually comfortable with the old ideas, just yet.

The middle name of Oudris didn’t help, either.
