You just need the right type of BATTERy.
you got a time machine (like a TARDIS), Snoopy?
He has a listening app that hears the ball being hit then counts down the time needed for the ball to reach the outfield, then rings.
“Wake me up before you go-go”
I’m torn between which is funnier: Snoopy’s action or CB’s reaction!
Wouldn’t it be a pop up since Snoopy is the shortstop?
I hope that they are playing softball. I don’t think that Snoopy’s teeth would like a real baseball.
Only Snoopy could do this.
I saw a Nate comic the other day that was essentially the same thing. It was a pretty old one; wonder which came first.
“I’m awake!”
Don’t ask, CB…just be grateful that he catches it, unlike a certain OTHER member of your team!
Don’t argue with success, Chuck.
Why does Snoopy need a glove…?
Nice catch, Snoopy. Good boy!
Love the Snoops
Snoopy! Never try to figure him out, just enjoy the ride
You set an alarm in a “timely” manner.
Hey, whatever works, Chuck!
Great Beagles never tell.
Makes my teeth hurt just watching.
I love the sound it makes when Snoopy catches the ball.
It is a mystery, with a wind-up alarm clock. If it was today with wireless connections, and tracking…..
Nailed the position too. Clever dog!
Charlie, you set it for a pop-up with just a little extra time added…

At Last! All morning I was getting “This site can’t be reached.”
Maybe it was set for lunch.
who knows, perhaps he kyped it from The DOCTOR’s nightstand..
Setting an alarm for a fly ball is no more surreal than a beagle playing shortstop…
Don’t ask how, just accept it.
How indeed. Nonetheless impressive……
I remember this particular strip; a very nice stand alone piece.
Man, MLB is getting pretty strict about time to pitch once you are on the mound!
What a catch
I love the absurdity in this cartoon.
Whatever… this beagle is a better bet than the obnoxious Lucy.
Excellent question. Just be thankful he knows how to do so and caught the ball. If that had been Lucy she would have ignored the alarm. Or if the clock had a snooze feature she’d have hit snooze.
I just realized that Snoopy was the earlier version of Hammy in Over the Hedge.
Accurately.
Wouldn’t that be a Pop=up, Snoopy plays Shortstop?
Why can’t I have a normal dog . . .
it’s easy when your opponent is very predictable
