I think that there is more then a night vision problem.

Better make sure that the garage door is open before you put ’er in gear.

I am guessing it might be better to let Gladys drive, from now on.

As long as he’s still in the garage I’m at peace knowing that the streets are still safe.

It is presumed the car has been started, but that may not necessarily be the case. My first thought was as mentioned above, he better make sure the garage door is opened before starting the car.

I hope they don’t die of sophistication.

Slight lapse of concentration there, Brutus?

Reminds me of this Golden Oldie:

A man is driving in a dense fog and can’t see anything. He decides the safest course is to follow the lights of the car in front of him. After a couple of miles the car ahead stops unexpectedly, and the lost driver bumps into him.

“What’s the matter with you?” the lost driver shouts. “Why don’t you signal if you’re going to stop?”

The other driver shouts back, “Why should I? I’m in my own garage!”

Phew. That’s a relief. I thought that he was going blind for a second. Just being forgetful is par for the course. Good thing he didn’t step on the gas…….

“Oh yeah. Backing out. THAT’S what I came in here to do!”

Several times I’ve been lost in thought while driving and then came out of it and not known where I was.

You should replace the bulbs in your automatic garage door opener.

OK, I know sometimes I forgot why I walked in a room, but…..

We didn’t have that problem because it was rare that we had enough room in our garage to park our car.

I might suggest eating more carrots, but let’s face it that’s not the solution to Brutus’ problem.

Hopefully the car isn’t running.

I guess that’s kind of a benefit of not being able to fit my truck inside my garage.
