Wow, Al. This was hashed through back in late May/early June. Does time move differently in your reality, or are you too lazy to come up with something relevant?

Seeing as this dude brought it up again. You all see Jon Stewart’s “rant” the last time he was with Stephen Colbert…?

My question is, was it an act, was it satire, was it real? I ask because great satire often makes one question one’s sanity and I’m doing it as regards a master of satire… :-|

Well, right now, Al, it’s more important to learn how to defeat the virus than to determine where it came from. Later, after we’ve gotten ahead of this thing, we can learn the origin of Covid so as to better prepare us for the next pandemic.

Too bad the former president closed the early pandemic warning offices that the U.S. was maintaining in mainland China. And trashed President Obama’s pandemic policy handbook with steps to take from the start to prevent a pandemic from raging out of control. And terminated the position on the National Security Council responsible for overseeing biological threats. You’re a stubborn one, Goodwyn, to exhibit your foolishness like this in almost every strip.

It seems from all the comments that the anti President Trump leftist crowd are all in favor of absolving China and particularly Wuhan for any blame in in the China oops Covid-19 virus. Even though it is all but certain that it originated in the Wuhan province. Any news about investigations into the exact origin are becoming non existent. It seems that Europe and our present administration are comfortable in letting any meaningful investigation just disappear. The out of sight out off mind philosophy has taken over, and why anger a country as powerful and openly antagonistic as China. It is becoming plainly evident that the people of the world will never be told the truth because the truth is to dangerous for the people to know. Two words come to mind “ The End”

There will be more viral pandemics, and this is how we should prepare, according to Eric Lander. A policy paper is in preparation.

“Here are a few of the goals we should shoot for:

The capability to design, test and approve safe and effective vaccines within 100 days of detecting a pandemic threat (for covid-19, that would have meant May 2020); manufacture enough doses to supply the world within 200 days; and speed vaccination campaigns by replacing sterile injections with skin patches.

Diagnostics simple and cheap enough for daily home testing to limit spread and target medical care.

Early-warning systems to spot new biological threats anywhere in the world soon after they emerge and monitor them thereafter.

We desperately need to strengthen our public health system — from expanding the workforce to modernizing labs and data systems — including to ensure that vulnerable populations are protected."

Innocent until proven guilty. The fact that you are jumping to the conclusion that there WAS a coverup shows your bias. If there is evidence to prove there was a coverup, then yes you can call it the “china coverup” if you really want to. But the problem with people like you is that you will blame everyone of Chinese descent, when the blame would fall on the Chinese government.

I’ll add this little tidbit to the mix of comments posted after my last one ( like some of you like to do) Imagine a country so large and so populated that testing a deadly virus on it’s population got out of control or better yet testing a deadly virus as a weapon to be used on the world not caring if a few million of Its own population die. No big problem there a few less to feed and house. Nuclear bombs are so messy, and the cleanup of radioactive fallout well look at Chernobyl. Maybe there is another virus ready to go and it’s antidote already tested. You want to spout all kinds of accusations on the last administration and President Trump. Maybe it’s “” Not the End””

Seven states (all GOP led) with the lowest vaccination rates in the country lead the country in hospitalizations cases and deaths with the common theme of 99% of victims are unvaccinated. But lets keep drudging up this bs as it matters today.

388,214 deaths occurred on President Trump’s watch during the year from which it first appeared. Just checked the latest reported deaths and the number stands at 631,814. By the logic used by the left, Biden is responsible for the other 243,600 deaths in the short six months he’s been in office. And Joe has the vaccine and delivery system put in place by President Trump’s actions. If this trend keeps going Biden is going to be responsible for more deaths during his first year in office than in the year for Trump. What’s Biden’s excuse? President Trump had to deal with a new virus that nobody had seen before (except the Chinese). Nobody knew how infectious it was. Yet, against the advice of Dr. Fauci, within two weeks of the virus being identified, he closed all travel from China by noncitizens for which he was criticized and called a xenophobe by Democrats and the left. Dr. Fauci advised President Trump and the nation, that masks for the general population were unnecessary and maintained that position for several months. Trump started Operation Warp Speed in May 2020 with the objective to have a vaccine and a delivery system by December which Dr. Fauci and many others in the medical profession said could not be done. By October 2020 President Trump had preordered and paid for 800 million doses of vaccines. I’d like the lefties to put an unbiased objective hat on (hahahah silly thoughts, what would another reasonable person in Trump’s position have done that he didn’t? If Hillary had been in office what would she have done differently? My guess is that she would have followed Fauci’s advice, would not have banned travel from China, would not have come up with operation Warp Speed, we would probably not have a vaccine or a great supply of it and the death rate would be far in excess than it is.

This is the reason American Military wears those funky hot chemical suits and gear. Russian and Chinese will use what ever for world domination. China has a population that they can spare with a virus such as COVID. Thank God for Operation WARP SPEED to get the vaccines in less than a year.
