I got used to not wearing a wristwatch when I worked at a food manufacturing facility and couldnât wear anything on your arms. (Well anything above the waist.)
I havenât worn a watch since my wife of 34 years died in March, because I am wearing âherâ bracelet that she had received when one of our Chihuahuaâs died in December which has a human hand holding a dogâs paw. It brings me some comfort as does the necklace with her fingerprint that they took at the Funeral Home. Until I can be with her again. Sorry donât want to be a downer but it helps me to write about things about her.
Iâve worn a diverâs wristwatch for many years â long before I took up SCUBA diving (at age 70) â because I donât have to take it off to bathe, wash dishes, and itâs easier to time laps when swimming or jogging than to count them. And, Iâm the one that answers questions like,âwhat time is it?â or âIs it time to go?â or âWill we get there before they close?â because everyone else has to locate their phones and tap them a few times before they can answer.

Even I get into the habit of looking at my wristwatch (not an Apple Watch, mind yâall) and my iPhoneâs clock.

A Plugger also wears an analog watch. The digitalâs are too complicated to keep resetting for Daylight Saving and the return to Standard time.
