Even I get into the habit of looking at my wristwatch (not an Apple Watch, mind y’all) and my iPhone’s clock.

Rick has so kept the spirit, and great graphics of Pluggerisms.

I haven’t worn a watch since I retired.

“Two minutes after you last asked”.

I always carry a pen and wear a watch . Some folks ask why then they want use of either one of them ;-)

Time to buy a watch……..

My watch battery died last year during the height of Covid. I haven’t missed it at all.

I’ve got three watches sitting on the shelf. Haven’t used them in decades, first I carried a pager, now I have a flip phone.

Yogi Bear has grown all old. And that must be Boo Boo’s son.

I got used to not wearing a wristwatch when I worked at a food manufacturing facility and couldn’t wear anything on your arms. (Well anything above the waist.)

A Plugger also wears an analog watch. The digital’s are too complicated to keep resetting for Daylight Saving and the return to Standard time.

Old as I am, I gave up on watches in ’99 with my first wireless phone.

I haven’t worn a watch since my wife of 34 years died in March, because I am wearing “her” bracelet that she had received when one of our Chihuahua’s died in December which has a human hand holding a dog’s paw. It brings me some comfort as does the necklace with her fingerprint that they took at the Funeral Home. Until I can be with her again. Sorry don’t want to be a downer but it helps me to write about things about her.

I’ve worn a diver’s wristwatch for many years — long before I took up SCUBA diving (at age 70) — because I don’t have to take it off to bathe, wash dishes, and it’s easier to time laps when swimming or jogging than to count them. And, I’m the one that answers questions like,“what time is it?” or “Is it time to go?” or “Will we get there before they close?” because everyone else has to locate their phones and tap them a few times before they can answer.

My buddy had a ’96 Lincoln Continental with a silver analog clock on the dashboard. Classy!
