It all depends whether it is an imperial or a metric “quarter!!”

I’ve never understood why it takes 2+ hours to play a game consisting of 4 15 minute quarters.

Four is the usual number. However the games usually take all day as the players are stop-motion figures, except when they have to scratch body parts.

She’s kidding, right? I suppose to those who hate football, there’s thousands of quarters.

When I was in college and played soccer and was asked that by a hockey fan. Quarters, not periods.

II think there is only one quarter in the game and everyone is trying to get him. Why else is everyone always trying to “Get” the quarterback?

It depends. If one team has a really bad quarter, they can try to get the quarter back.

The only thing that’s going to be certain about this college football season is that with players now being allowed to cash in on their names, images and likenesses, the NCAA being kneecapped because of that Supreme Court ruling, proposed conference realignment and blocking attempts to expand the CFP to 12 teams, Boise State will once again be shafted from any legitimate chance to compete for the national title. It’s time to get rid of the creaky, antiquated bowl games and bring in a real playoff tournament formt with 16 teams and played in four rounds in the four Saturdays after the Army-Navy Game. That Way Boise State will have a real shot at the national title.

I wonder how many games will start with a penalty on the first play? Usually for holding.

For some reason a half moon is called a quarter moon, and yet there are only two half moons in a lunar month, so you never know what the terminology of a field you’re not familiar with is going to be. (And please don’t bother to spell out why a half moon is called a quarter moon; I realize there is an explanation for how the practice came about, but it’s still an idiotic practice.)

The same number of quarters there are in a dollar, Mother Gargle, 6. By the way, could you break these couple dollar bills into change for me? I need it for the vending machines at work.

Poor Brutus. She never keeps her word about not coming back. Explain it to her in a language she might understand. Cut a pie into quarters and it’s exactly the same number……
