I wore hole in my jeans after a number of years. I had them on when I was going to run to the local Home Depot for some items. My wife said “You’re not leaving this house looking like that”. I changed jeans and when I returned and went to change back, the holey jeans were gone.
I was an undergrad in the early ’70s. One friend was from farm county and he would trade new jeans and coveralls for used ones at home. Then he would sell the distressed clothes to students from the City for 3-4 times the new price.
They still sell iron-on patches at wally world. I just fixed up a couple pair of jeans. If this guy can operate and iron, you can too. I did have to ask my wife if we had an iron, and if so, where is it. Cabinets in the laundry room? Wow! It was like Christmas with all the good things I found!
I am trying to start a new fashion trend, wrinkled shirts. I don’t iron any more. Besides iron on patches fall off after a couple of washes, so they need sewing also.

Some people can show skin, generally those under 25. Some shouldn’t.

Sell them on E-Bay for more than you bought them for then get a new pair.

Yeah … I’ve never seen the attraction of buying jeans with frayed holes and such that you didn’t put there yourself over time …
