How does that chair look so good if it’s an old chair and you have a cat? No self respecting cat would leave it alone, it would have been clawed to pieces by now.

I’ve been reading the A&J comments a month or two after everyone else. Today I am up late and hope you will allow a current comment. Da’dad and someone else had made references to some strips from July 1996. I really like the storyline from 6/18/1996 to late July 1996. I think this is at the same beach where Gene met Mary Lou, but a year or two before that happened. One advantage of GoComics it that it is so easy to look at old strips. One of my all-time favorite A&Js is 7/26/96.

1994-1997 were years of change for Gene. He was entering puberty and became aware of adult things; girls, divorce, puppy love, teen pregnancy. I think 2021 will be a watershed year for Arlo and Janis. Especially the month of May.

I think there is also a saying about a job shared

Do chairs get heavier with age?

What’s she rolling her eyes for? She is the one who told him it had to go. She could be helping him carry it for crying out loud.

OT A&J, but OnT for non-humans: in Cloggieland, a hawk seized a chicken that was out of the hawk’s weight class and it was having trouble flying off with its intended prey. The chicken’s cries alerted the rooster who attacked the hawk and inflicted injuries but couldn’t get it to back off. Then a goat came running over and repeatedly butted the hawk until it released the chicken. It managed to get airborne again and fly away, but it was limping as it flew :-)

I hope it’s not left half done.

Geez, Janis, give him some help! Otherwise he’s going to end up with real back problems.
