Now it’s a $360 job.

Last time I caller a plumber it was $90 to walk through the door. Luckily my daughter’s fiancé can do that stuff.

Don’t care what it costs, trying to find one is the thing. Last time I got 2 shutoff valves and 2 outdoor faucets. Took him an hour and cost $400. Worth every penny!!

I am not very handy, or as I describe it “I am dumb from the neck down.”

My carpentry skills are about 6, electrical skills about 4 and plumbing about -3. I am good enough to operate sinks, showers and toilet bowls.

Besides at my age, I should no longer be crawling under sinks.

I hate plumbing, but I do it out of self defense. At least I have the tools and know what I’m doing. It gets done right and I save money.

I hate plumbing problems. A professional plumber is worth every penny I need to pay them to repair or replace whatever is needed.

I’ve taught my wife how to repair a leaking faucet. It will save her a lot of money if I’m not around.

My father and I have the same attitude towards problems like that; one of three options. One, I can fix it myself. Two, I can fix it with the help of friends. Three, call a professional.

Good luck on that $60 bill. Better add another zero to that number…..

I’m actually surprised someone who won’t even turn the thermostat up when the house is colder than a meat locker would actually pay a plumber for something as frivolous as a dripping faucet.

Hey my time with plumbing jobs taught me, call them right away.

A few years ago I took apart the bathroom sink trap to unclog it, and my wife still tells her friends how handy I am. Like, she won’t be dissuaded that this bathroom sink is 1000x easier than any other sink I’ve ever used as far as dismantling. I don’t even need tools and the parts fit together perfectly.

My father was extremely handy around the house. He had been an electrician and a sheet metal mechanic. He was also smart enough to realize when it was time to call a professional when his skills weren’t up to snuff for a particular repair job.
