Oh, wow! Fred, for the first time in about fifty years of following you, this is the first ever time I have seen you being genuinely mean and threatening towards a friend – are you starting to suffer from grumpy old man syndrome? Cat means no harm, just being a playful friend!
Fred, I know Kitty surprised you while napping, and you were not pleased to be startled awake, but I think he was happy to see you and in typical cat fashion, pounced. No need to be SUCH a grouch over it. You two could have a civil conversation. You could explain your preferences. He can explain cats to you, and you two reach an agreement.
Hey Fred, while you’re at it, could you have a word or two with our cat Akiro? We’ve had to move the cat tree to prevent dive-bombings while my incisions were healing. The last straw was when he scored a two-fer – he woke my husband from a much needed nap, then landed on my chest.
it took my wife a while to realize I have an insanely high startle reflex, so she stopped ambushing me. Sure she was just being playful, but I get really cranky when startled.
Calm down, Fred. It was not an enemy attack. Purrcy is a cat, and cats play that way. Just as dogs behave certain ways, so do kitties. Now, get up and play. Exercise is good.
Just ran into the Brit guy in my neighborhood with the basset hound named Fred. The guy knows the comic strip, of course, but claims his Fred isn’t named after our comic-strip Fred. Fred accepted a small Milk Bone treat from me. : )
We took Gracie to an Animal emergency hospital yesterday. They took x-rays. The only thing they could come up with was 2 small spaces between 2 vertebrae. Anyway, she has pills, including a steroid and a liquid that has to be kept in the frig. We’re to give her 2 weeks and see what happens. If a surgery is needed we can’t afford it so…….. Thank you all for caring!! ♥

He may be the nicest dog, but as they say, “It’s best to let a sleeping dog lie”.

The cat is acting a little like Hobbes from my favourite comic strip. Hobbes was partly based on Bill Watterson’s cat Sprite.

I don’t blame Fred on this one. Cats can be a nuisance with their behavior quirks.

Nor does Fred appreciate any dog stealing his bone.

This cat seems as friendly as the last cat that use to hang around him
