Has Mikey even seen the proposed DOD budget for next fiscal year?!! The DOD will be just fine!! Instead of getting all those “goodies,” they will get most of them!!! And the generals will not be “starving,” any time soon!!

Oh please. What should they do? They raised the issue and China denied it. My guess is they’ll talk about it. I assume the US has tested weapons that China didn’t like. How would you have wanted them to respond?

Ramirez is exactly right. Dems are so worried about 3.5T in social program spending BS while China and Russia continue to encircle the US in so many facets. THERE WILL BE NO “SAFE SPACE”.

It is baffling how stupid the right has become. I mean, they have never been smart, but it is almost cartoonish what they will believe and tout. Not a brain cell to share amongst them.

He’s all for spending trillions on weapons and not one penny on the infrastructure just like his followers.

Our defense budget is greater than the next three combined. Defense costs bankrupted the USSR, Republicans are trying the same here.

There was an article in Scientific American which enumerated the various impracticalities of long range hyper-sonic weapons. Among the insurmountable problems (as long as the rules of physics hold) are fuel consumption, air frictional heat generation and drag, guidance difficulties, and flight control (i.e., maneuverability).

North Korea tests a rocket. Republicans get hysterical.

China tests a rocket. Republicans get hysterical.

America tests rockets all the time. No one pays attention.

It is not surprising that the rediscovered passion of the US for anti ballistic missile shield systems is seeing adversaries developing things like these to counter.

The whole arms control system has been going to shite ever since GW (G.W. Bush) pulled out of the ABMS (Anti ballistic missile shield) treaty (officially The Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty or ABMT).

The other thing for context is the USA’s nuclear development is bound by the famous SALT & START treaties with the Russians. But China is not a signatory on those arms control treaties.

Ramirez! We spend many times more than the Chinese on useless military killing power. If our military cut just 20% of the money they waste, our country could pay down our national debt in short order.

It takes the entire Congress to pass the budget, or only one side to continue to torpedo it. DOD will be fine.

We outspend the entire rest of the world on our military. Maybe it’s time to take a close look at our priorities.

Isn’t this the same nation that George Bush the First granted Most Favored Trading Status after they massacred thousands o Pro Democracy Protesters?

Why do we still trade with China? We made it an issue NOT to trade with the Soviet Union. Why do we treat Communist China any different?

OH because of the MONEY the American Businesses are making there!

China does not want war, they want to be able to intimidate. They know that a war with the US would devastate their economy.

Ramirez, our Founders were Liberals who fought for our independence while conservatives, then call ‘Tory’ opposed independence and sided with the Brits. Since then conservatives have only supported military action when they are scared for their own hide and can send someone else’s kid off to fight for them.

What a weak joke. It could just as easily been a conservative saying “THIS IS WHY WE HAVE THE SECOND AMENDMENT! TAKE THAT YA COMMIE ROCKET! AND THAT! AND THAT!”
