This will be my first Christmas without my parents. So sad. I’m glad to have those memories.

Wait! The best Christmas presents are memories of home-made presents from Christmases in the past! Is the message: No store bought presents for Christmas?

I love all those memories. They keep our parents alive in our hearts.

Comics like this always bring out the ancient memories for me. I lost my parents over 30 years ago and the memories fade with time if there isn’t a reminder to think back to them again.

When my daughter brings her family home for Christmas, she snuggles in while I read her favorite story (Christmas On Bear Mountain by Carl Barks) to her kids.

Christmas or other major holidays are times when our lives can take important turns. Some are for the better as the family comes together more than usual, but the stresses of major holidays can precipitate the worst. I, for one, wish Christmas could just go away.

You know the feeling when you know more people that are dead then alive!

Y’know, there are people around whose family memories are nightmares. But you never hear about them, especially this time of year.

Our tradition was to design tree ornaments. We had styrofoam balls covered in purple silk, and we used to stick pins with glitter balls in them. Made some interesting decorations

I wonder what kind of memories kids will have from the pandemic.

My kids have memories with me. My DH didn’t really react much with them when they were growing up. He prefers them as an adult. He barely touched then as children.

Memories last, physical things don’t.

Yep! Esp. when one or both parents are gone. ♥♥♥

Both bad and good I’m afraid. Good ones are THE BEST memories though…..

The best ones are those with kids in them. When you were a kid, then the generations that follow.

Sooner or later memories of Christmases past is all you have.

I wish I could trade in my memories from some Chritmasses past.

My grandparent’s never read to us kids back then, one lived in different state, other 2 hours away. My own dad passed 1999 my mom 2016. And mom never read us stories from books.

I feel sorry for those of you who have lost parents, siblings and friend. May God Comfort All of You.
