I am so grateful for my furkids. I pined for that foster dog for 10 months and was actually grateful that his adoptive home didn’t work out (is that wrong?) because we were meant to be together. It was beschert!
Bittersweet since my hubby’s hear-dog passed away last month, but we still have my gal-dog. The rest of the family have cats and all are loved and appreciated.
I adopted two cats right before Halloween. A 6 year old male (Corbin) and a 5 year old Female (Blaine). Both are FIV+ but still have a long life ahead of them. My previous cat left this world in February and the house was empty. I would have adopted earlier but I was having some remodeling work done and it would have been a bit too stressful for the new fur babies.
We always have something to be thankful for whether we have a pet or not. There’s always something to be thankful for in life. Sadly, some people never realise this.
The three doggos have been walked and fed, and are here in the library sleeping in front of the fireplace soaking up the heat while I have to make do with a cat on my lap and one on my shoulder (She started doing that when a kitten and has just not stopped) and a thirrrrrrd one trying to disrupt my keyboarrrrddddddding. But, as Der Bingle said in"Holiday Inn", I have plenty to be thankful for.
Among many, many other people and things, I am thankful for Brian Bassett, who gives us Red and Rover every day to tug at our heartstrings! Happy Thanksgiving, Brian!
The picture of Red with his arm around Rover is so touching—thanks, Brian! I’m lucky that my extended family loves dogs (we all have at least one)—when we get together, dogs are always welcome, and there are sometimes as many as six romping around together. Chaos, but heaven.

For those who know and believe, God is always there to be thankful for.
We may not always feel it or see it, but He is there even in our doubts.

Never understood people who don’t like pets (except when allergies are involved).

Only those that would treat the pet right and give it the proper care should have one Red.
