I will probably have all the scarves knitted or crocheted by Christmas. But I probably won’t have them done in time for the mail or even UPS to get them to my sister’s house by the time most of the nieces & nephews are there on the 26th.
Finished all my Christmas shopping a month ago. The only thing that hasn’t arrived is the one I bought for myself. Even got the birthday gift for the hubby’s birthday in Feb bought and delivered.
I did it once…the problem is I knit very slowly and projects usually take years for me to make. I once gave my husband a pair of socks for Christmas, his birthday, Christmas and his birthday again…all in different stages of completion. He was very happy when I got them done.
I am not crafty by any means! That said, I do love going to the downtown (DC) Christmas Market near the American History Museum/National Portrait Gallery. I have gotten some really nice stuff and have been helping local businesses. This year I intend to stay local as much as possible. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy Christmas and New Years and that 2022 sees us finally moving past this Covid mess.

I went that route because of all the talk on supply chain. Decided to make pjs and robes for kids and grandkids. 4 down and 5 to go.

Yep! Too much sugar or caffeine will do this. It is fun until you crash back down in a muddle of half-finished projects and no time left.

My family were firm believers in homemade gifts, and since we all did it, we really appreciated the hard work, skill, and hours of time involved.
The sad part is the number of people who did not do hand work who would sneer and comment on how cheap we were to make gifts instead of buying them.

I wonder how many toilet paper cozies a reasonably skilled Knitter can produce per week. Everybody wants one of those, right?

Whoa! That’s quite a look on Cathy, with the poofed hair.
As for gifts, the personally-made touch does add something, though the convenience of store-bought ones is tough to beat. Decisions, decisions …
