In England, they make the sound WELL-ING-TON, WELL-ING-TON, WELL-ING-TON.
“This is the loudest snow I’ve ever walked on.”
In a few months he’ll have a spring in his step.
Imagine Calvin walking on squeaky sand somewhere in Australia.

So that’s how they got their name! I always wondered.
To me it sounded like “onomatopoeia, onomatopoeia, onomatopoeia…”
Today it’s raining in Vienna!!
Add corduroy pants and a waterproof jacket and you have yourself a one-man band.
My brother’s boots squeaked. But only because a mouse had crawled inside them.
He’s lucky they’re not concrete galoshes.
A little different being Hobbesless these last couple of days…
Wonder what Hobbes is up to…missing yesterday and today?
After all that prep, he just realized he should have used the bathroom first.
BOOTS, BOOTS, BOOTS
Well what do you know, who knew? LOL
Now that I think about it, I don’t see over boots much anymore. Maybe I just don’t hang around in galosh’s country enough.

Well, that is how they got their name…
Hobbes is too smart to be out in the cold and snow. He’s probably still in bed, or curled up in front of the fireplace.
Must be Hobbes week off
I had to wear them when I was a kid and looked like a total nerd. I always hated that sound.
Didn’t help that I was a total nerd.
Fill your boots with warm goulash before leaving the house on a cold morning.
Very familiar experience lately!
With the buckles undone … galosh, chinkle … galosh, chinkle … galosh, chinkle …
reminds me, I need a new pair of 5 buckles!
Well, that puts that origin story of the name to rest.
One of lifes mystery solved by none other than our hero.
Gosh, I’d never thought of that before.

The people in the South and Southeast might get this if they actually had galoshes to put on this week…..
This brings back memories of LeadingEdge.
If you ever wanted to know how they got their name.
Love it!
Lol!
Can you even get those things anymore?
