Actually, there was a He-Man & She-Ra Christmas Special. They save two Earth children, accidentally transported to Eternia by Orko, from Skeletor and Hordak. After a Christmas party the children are returned to Earth.
How about lame Christmas films? “Santa Clause Conquers the Martians” comes to mind.
(If you want a clue to how bad it was, Pia Zadora, the worst movie star in Hollywood history, got her start in that film as one of the Martian children)
Not a Christmas movie, but He-Man Masters of the Universe did have a live action movie – Dolph Lundgren as He-Man, Frank Langella as Skeletor, and Meg Foster as Evil-Lyn (1987).
LOS ANGELES (AP) — T. Mark Taylor, artist and toy designer for the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe franchise as well as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, died Thursday at his Southern California home. He was 80. Everything and everyone has a time and place. Back in the eighties I sold a lot of He-Men at my first job. There were only few He-Men in each carton, and he always sold out quickly while some his friends and foes gathered dust. I made some friends, but it was time to move on. I left home for the Air Force and the San Diego based toy store chain that I worked at went out business five years after I left, a sad day for a family run business. Enjoy your time and place when you can.

Because Santa wants you to leave the Martians to him.

He-Man is, in my august opinion, the lamest super-hero cartoon series ever. And he had a Christmas special? This revelation just boggles the mind.

Why did He-Man use the feminine version of the word “blond”? Makes you think, doesn’t it?
