@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , like postpersons , neighter rain or sleet or snow can keep our HERO Mr Andrew Capp from going to the pub :o) , my avatar is a picture of a billboard with an empty center , that’s how I predict the weather by looking out the window , how was your day? our Thursday should be busy as usual but we will cope I hope , we both are in a good mood no shopping to do or errands to run just stay in the house , keep hydrated and you know the rest , keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady
I’ve got about six inches of snow to clear off my driveway this morning. The weatherman says it going to drop down to -7 degrees Fahrenheit tonight (-22C). I might not get out to the brewery, but I’ll be taking Affie’s advice and staying well hydrated! I might even see if I can find a greengrocer van in the neighborhood!
Back in 1975, friends bought a bar in a small resort town. The establishment came with 4 or 5 “regulars.” Every morning, no matter the weather, the group would be waiting at the door for opening time. If one of them was missing, inquiries were made, or somebody was sent to check on them.
Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor hail will keep Andy from the pub at opening hours. His dedication puts even that of the postal service to shame.
I’m exactly the same. I’d rather just look out my window. It has been raining two days in a row here.
I went to my friend’s house today and when I stepped outside it was pouring with rain. I wasn’t dressed very suitably but that doesn’t bother me. I never put my coat hood up because I love getting my hair wet.
I found out today where my life saving blood donation has gone. It went to Manchester Royal Infirmary. It has now been to Manchester 3 times. The other two places in Manchester were Oldham and Wythenshawe. This one looks to be in the city centre.
Stay safe, stay well, stay warm and stay happy, pal. I’ll be here tomorrow for Christmas Eve and then that’s it until Monday.
Naw booze does not warm you up, instead it slows your body down and if you drink enough it will kill you. As a Probation Officer for 30 plus years I had a few of my clients freeze up and die. Now Andy looks cute but evenly will die a horrible death. Booze if taken in his amount every time will kill you. Enjoy the toon, but watch the booze.

What is it about fermented grain in liquid form that warms you up anyway?

“Andy the red nosed boozer, has a very shiny nose! He’s there when the pub is open, doesn’t leave until it’s closed!”

I would say Mr Capp got there about three or four inches ago.

Andy must have been a US Postal Service delivery person in a previous life.

Seeing such a weather forecast here people are at the grocery store stocking up.
A few days worth of groceries Plus 3-4 cases of beer, a couple bottles of wine, a bottle of Jack or Jim, etc.

My grandfather told me an old Ukrainian proverb: “The church is near but the roads are slippery. The tavern is far but I will walk carefully:”

Go on, Jack.
You might as well get the business in while you can. I wouldn’t turn anyone away because I would feel I was losing out on custom.
