Tremendous! Has to be the best Snowman on the block. No, in town, by far and well done. Love it! Ah ha, new information, mom’s name is Carol. Dad? Red 1?
The recent snow themed cartoons have reminded me of a week of strips two years ago when Red styled each day’s snow man after a different Man. The one themed after Michelin Man had Rover hiding and I commented that I was a little afraid of the Michelin Man when I was a kid as he reminded me of one of the frightening mummies in comics and animated cartoons.
I live in the UK. One comic strip which contributed to my fear of mummies was in a comic called Buzz which lasted from 1973 to 1975 and had a strip called “Skookum School” and a spin-off strip called “Spookum School” in which Skookum School was haunted by a ghostly teacher and pupils each night after the teachers and pupils had gone home.
The “Spookum School” strip in which a mummy appeared began with the ghosts seeing a sign saying “Skookum School – Closed For Repairs”. As the ghostly teacher couldn’t use the school equipment, he took his pupils on a trip to the museum. Towards the end of the strip, one of the ghostly pupils called out “Mummy!” and the teacher replied “You’re too big to want your mummy!” before seeing a real mummy from the museum who declared angrily “This is MY haunting spot.”
The last panel showed another sign outside Skookum School. This one read “Spookum School – Closed For Repairs To Pupils and Teacher”.
I’m impressed with dad, didn’t ask any questions, just told him to put it back after, then he calls mom over to share the sight. Great family dynamics there.

That’s pretty big for a stepladder. Also, he never knew his real ladder.

One of our dogs tried to make friends with an inflatable snowman. She’s a real sweetheart, loves everybody.

He would need more than a stepladder to build a snowman like that.
