Clyde’s definitely smarter of the two.

Wham! But I don’t think he can really learn.

It’s not that Earl is stupid: He just doesn’t have the filter that stops him from thinking before he speaks. Maybe he had a stroke, like Sophia Petrillo (Golden Girls), who always said whatever popped into her head.

Silence is golden, Earl!

I’ve been reading Pickles from the beginning and in this couple the woman is definitely the grumpy one! I can’t say I’ve noticed it being one way or the other irl, each person/couple is unique

Not in front of the wife anyway!! Reflecting on how women always have to right, even when they are wrong makes me wonder how on earth a lesbian couple get along, never mind an old lesbian couple..

Who was it that said: “You can keep quiet and let people think you are stupid, or you can speak and confirm the fact.”?

Clyde is going with the old saying: “Better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and confirm it”…

Filters on your speech are definitely assets in a social setting.

Used to be a saying about “loose lips”.. sinking something or other.. and here it has come to pass. Earl is sunk

You have got to know when to keep your mouth shut. I have problems with that myself.

I saw a movie called “Grumpy old men.” I never saw one called “Grumpy old women.”

If she didn’t want the answer, then she shouldn’t have asked the blasted question.
