And the man who was supposed to fix the heater has just reported for August

Be ok with mine it’s reverse cycle.

It should cost less as he has less work. Also if he needs a part that should come quicker & also be less expensive. I had my A/C break down in Feb- Super Bowl Sunday years ago. I live in Florida (we had a rare warm spell.) I decided to replace it as it was 20 years old & I was afraid if I just had it fixed it would die in August. Took only a few days to get it & have it installed for a lot less than if I’d had to do it in August. Sure enough all summer neighbors were having to repair & replace their units & it was taking longer to get what they needed. I also like that I get the annual checkup around the Super Bowl as it’s a good reminder.

My HVAC company schedules the AC/furnace tuneups about a month in advance. It’s almost guaranteed that we’ll have a cold spell around the day for the AC and a heat wave around the furnace time.

My complaint is that they need a 4 hour window to come. With cell phone just call me when they get to the one before me and I’ll know to be home in an hour (or whenever).

Right now, I’d like my air to be in a warm condition.

It may get too cold in the house to have the air condx come on so how would you know it’s fixed?

If he came to my house, he might want to wait until Spring. My condenser is outside. That’s usually where the problems are.

And next June he’ll be back to fix your heater. He can’t do anything about the heater now; There’s nothing on the work order about the heater.

I know someone who went years without an air conditioner. During the summer, she didn’t want a new one because demand the units and A/C techs was high, so prices would be high. But, she didn’t want a new one during the off-season, because, she was told, it couldn’t be properly tested in cool or cold weather.

I suggested she get a new one during the off-season and wait to have it charged near the beginning of the cooling season. Or, have it charged during installation, but have a “tune up” near the beginning of the cooling system. She didn’t like either suggestion. During heat waves, she checked into a hotel to avoid the heat.

That’s like me – I still need to put my leaf blower away for the winter. In the meantime, there’s 11 inches of snow in my yard.

Better have him do it, you don’t when you’ll see him again.

Next thing you know is that, come summer, that guy could fix Ziggy’s heater.

Sounds like the government, for the state of Texas!!

Better late than never……and I wonder how that van works with those tiny square arches. Must be terrible to turn and change tires.
