I not only can sing the Oscar Meyer wiener song, I still have an Oscar Meyer Wienermobile whistle from the 80’s. As a Plugger, one can remember various product jingles including those no longer in business.

Commercials and TV theme songs like opening song to The Beverly Hillbillies.

I saw the OM Wiener Wagon once. It was sitting on the side of the road with a flat tire. Obscure: the Wiener Wagon jingle. Not OM, but a tray-like bun. Remotely related to the Hawaiian Waffle Dog.

We could use commercial jingles to identify foreign agents.

AND…..still have my Oscar Meyer Weiner Whistle,thank u very much!

Lived too far out in the boonies for OM mobile visits.

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was in the Christmas parade in our neighborhood a couple years ago, and everyone wanted a whistle!

Oh no! Now I’ll have that stuck in my head all day!

Reminds me of the old National Lampoon signature cartoon, “You may already be a wiener.”

I remember the theme from Gilligans Island, Green Acres, and The Beverly Hillbillies.

About two hours before I saw this, for some reason the Oscar Mayer BOLOGNA song lodged itself in my head. Sorry, folks.

Reminds me of the story:

Guy finds a magic lamp. Rubs it and genie comes out and grants him 3 wishes. Guy wishes for the fanciest car there is and a billion dollars. Poof-they come true. Genie says “that’s two wishes, you have 3”. Guy says “I can’t think of another one right now, can I get back to you later?”. Genie says “sure, just wish for something and you will get it”.

Guy is driving along with the radio on, and hears his favorite jingle, and he begins to sing along: “O I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner”. Poof.

I remember the “Fig Newton” song.

It’s sad… I have never liked Oscar Mayer hot dogs, but I remember the song!

Though Crest was no better than other toothpastes, it became the far and away #1 seller because of its signature statement which I can still recite from memory after over 60 years: “Crest has been shown to be an effective decay-preventive dentifrice when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care.”.

OH, yes, and the themes to Gilligan’s Island, The Beverly Hillbillies… I can’t remember the Slinky song, but I remember the music and it still makes me smile every time I hear it.

Anyone remember the “Good Little Bubble” commercial for Alka-Seltzer? That one always got to me. (sniff!) Hmm, can’t seem to find it on the interweb. Little bubble is all alone as blackness representing excess stomach acid descends. Bubble sacrifices itself (pop!) and goes to bubble heaven.
