Does anyone remember Patty and Cathy Lane?

In high school, twins Tim & Linda were asked if they were identical or fraternal twins.

My Mom and Aunt had that problem. They were fraternal twins. But people had problems telling them apart. I don’t know why. My Mom was taller with light brown hair and my Aunt had red hair.

It occurs to me that I’ve never been personally acquainted with identical twins.

Well, I don’t think I have.

Odd, I don’t have a twin and I’d have the same answer: I’m me.

Depends. If I am to be rewarded, then yes. If I am to be punished, then definitely not.

“I’m me, of course.”“But how do you know?”“Sometimes he goes away, but I’m always right here.”

How about, are the good twin or the evil one.

And that’s his father asking!

When I was in high school I had a part-time job and a set of twins were also working there. They were meant, rude and arrogant. I never tried to cure them of that, but would always ask, “Are you the dumb one or the ugly one?” They did not bother me twice.

I guess they’ll have to start wearing name tags.
