Can’t Hollis just not go to parties where there might be drinking? Or does she think that if other kids on the team drink, even if she’s not there, the Air Force Academy might turn her away? What about if other kids in her Math class drink? Or in the school in general?
Perhaps Hollis should discuss these situations with Air Force Academy admissions? Or with Mimi — who clearly DOES have SOME right to set rules for the team.
Here’s an idea. Don’t go to parties with alcohol. Then it doesn’t matter what blows up, it isn’t on you. I’m also not convinced that 6 kids drinking 1/3 can of hard seltzer each could potentially “blow up” anyway. And speaking of blowing up, Mopped Up Thorp is blowing up in popularity! Readership may have even hit double digits!
I think the more important question here is what happened to P2 girl’s fingers? Been losing bets through Pranit without paying and Vito chopped them off?
So it appears that we’re heading towards these two girls getting caught with alcohol at some point, and I assume kicked off the team. Unless Rubin pulls one of his, “introduce conflict but then just ignore it the rest of the season” tricks and there is no more drinking. I’m getting ahead of things, but if so, they’ll be kicked out of Milford, right? I mean, if a butter knife means you have to enroll at Valley Modified, than this would probably mean being deported.

This is Neil Breen-tier dialogue writing. Just atrocious.

You have to admit it’s selfish of Hollis to worry about her future.

Where are the betting windows from yesterday? They were a nice touch. And what’s Hollis standing on?

Cressa: I speak for all the girls of Milford High. With these Keebler elf hairdos and Clark Gable mustaches, we deserve a pop now and then. Cheers.

P-1: Wait, you think a seltzer blowing up could affect your appointment. How in the hell did you pass the admissions test?
P-2: Your selfishness doesn’t trump our selfishness? Very deep
P-3: Well, I tried. I guess I will have to narc them out, now. That should go well.

I just got a notification that someone replied (on the same day) to a comment I made 6 years ago. Hmm…

Too bad one of us snarkers didn’t do something cheap and tawdry to push the number of comments into triple digits for the day, what? Oh, never mind…
