Bad choice, almost as if a cartoonist decided to do it for dramatic effect.

Wally will still be there.

I thought Wally was Ralph’s pet and that Bob the Duck was Norman’s.

Norm, you’re an idiot! (OK, stating the obvious there, right?) She clearly isn’t committed to you if she made a demand like that. And as roberteakins said, Wally is the family’s dog, not just yours, so what makes her think she has the right to demand the entire family get rid of their pet? Anyway, the pets wouldn’t be together if neither of you takes your pet to the other’s house. And I couldn’t help noticing that she didn’t offer to get rid of her pet badger.

I think he chose Wally. He better had or I’m done with this strip!

Wally wasn’t your dog to get rid of! He’s the family’s pet and who is Oogie going to torment now? I hope Ralph can retrieve Wally. Maybe it’s time to throw you out Norman!

And so begins the “Wally’s Great Adventure” story arc….

Norman you’re a bigger idiot than I thought!

1. Wally isn’t your dog to give away! He’s Ralph’s technically but pretty much a family pet.

2. Echo clearly chose her badger over you! She sure didn’t offer to give it up

3. Why would you want to be with someone who basically said if there’s going to be room in your life for me, you’ll 1st have to get rid of someone else you love?

4. Can’t you imbeciles communicate at all? If you had you would’ve realized wally wouldn’t be an issue even if you married bc he belongs in Ralph’s house.

(just out of curiosity I’m wondering if Echo is hard to draw and so the artist has her dissappear from the strip for various reasons and then brings her back because of that?) js

Leave the dog home with his parents and two siblings. Problem solved.

Calm down, folks! Norman gave Wally to Jon Arbuckle and now shares a home with Garfield and Odie.

Dachsies & badgers are both highly intelligent and social creatures…and badgers have been seen hunting in tandem with coyotes, also a canid, so my guess is that Wally and “Bodger” will make peace…and love will triumph! Then again, if not, Wally stays…Echo goes…

There seems to be a lot of jumping to conclusions here, let the story play out. Get all the facts first.

Wally will skattle back into the picture shortly and Norman and Echo will work it out, because I like happy endings.

Does anybody find this funny? I certainly don’t. I’ve read this comic for years and it’s usually good for a chuckle, but if this story line goes on much longer I’m dropping it.

When Wally gets back home Norman’s going to get bitten.

the choice did not just affect him but his whole family since he is the family pet. She was being unreasonable. He should have just said he wouldn’t bring Wally over anymore.

Wally’s the family pet. You can break up with a girlfriend, but not a pet.

Dog love is pure. Norm loves Wally, and Wally loves Norm. No contest. Sayonara Echo. Good riddance. Wendy is secretly lurking in the wings, waiting for her chance to get back to stringing Norm along. I love Lucky, and Lucky loves me. Nothing else matters. Lucky is a precious girl, and Nancy knows that. Nancy loves Lucky too, and Lucky loves her. So we have a wonderfully happy eternal triangle going on at our house. No envy. No jealousy. Just pure love all around.

Such a Norm move, right?

Norm, so help me! If you were my son, I’d give YOU away before my dog!
