St. Valentine’s Day… That the theme that JJ has left on his retro page for a couple of months. Some McDonalds have shamrock shakes already.

Also in another month or so, we’ll be changing our clocks (Spring forward). I predict lots of complaining and gnashing of teeth.

The stomach is a steady guide.

No green beer here. Local craft brewer makes excellent Irish ale.

Why look ahead a full month? It’s just two weeks until Mardi Gras! You can do all the drinking you want then (and gorge on King Cake!). And the marshmallow Peeps will be hitting the shelves, too!

Beer with a reduced carbon footprint?

Yep – that’s me. In a few minutes I’m gonna go stock up on some 50% off chocolate.

Remembered that all the Feb. 14th candy goes on sale on the 15th.

smart buying that heart shaped box of chocolates the day after Valentine’s Day since it was probably on sale for 50-75% off! wonder if they will to do the same thing for the green beer for St Patrick’s Day!

I bought my wife the box of chocolate truffles she hinted at. Too bad we both forgot to check the back of the box to see that most were dark chocolate, which only I like.

Cheap Chocolate Day is my favorite holiday. Unfortunately this year the grocery store near me was all out already, and had already replaced their inventory with Easter candy. Oh well.

When we were young, we’d come down to breakfast on Valentine’s Day to find a red velveteen heart shaped Whitman’s Sampler at our places. Dad left them for us every year until we were grown.
