This might be the best description of social media I’ve ever seen. It certainly lets people say things to one another they’d never dare say in person

Rat is an antisocial hornet.

San Francisco doesn’t need a suicide barrier on the bridges – they should be erecting suicide barriers around social media.

Now, this is a whole and more realistic way to see the whole story.

Rat is more of a social moth, imo, and any conversation he’s part of somehow feels moth-eaten.

Sometimes I do that at the news!

If Rat’s a social butterfly, then I know of some Pepperland denizens who would like to see how flat he can get.

Rat is right! Of course his idea of being a social butterfly is to sit in a bar and hurl insults at long time friends and acquaintances.

I suppose “interactive media” would be more accurate. Social implies … what?

And difference between social and antisocial media is?

That’s just about right.

So obvious! Why haven’t I thought of this before? The very reason I quit twitting, facenovelling, etc. I’m using this term from now on.

Somehow, I always find it disconcerting when I agree with Rat. However, he really isn’t a butterfly. Probably something else flying but not that.

Even after the pandemic, I am going to continue wearing masks and keeping 6 feet away from everyone. I call this anti-social distancing.

It’s easy to hurl when behind a keyboard….

That’s basically social media in a nutshell. Agree with the majority or get destroyed.

Close your eyes….picture a rat with butterfly wings….

Trolls are everywhere.

That’s what I’ve always called – and quite accurately, too.

So if someone states that ‘I smell a rat here’ that means social media has become anti-social.

Maybe a psycho-social butterfly.
