There is also the fact that a new Covid variant is spreading fast so masks are still a good idea. Personaly my family has never stopped wearing our masks out and will continue to do so for some time. Will be getting that second Booster shot as well now that it has been authorized.
I, and some others, still wear a mask in stores, especially small establishments. We have to remember the Covid isn’t gone, only retreated. But, we’ve had retreats before, often just before another variant was produced. I’m surprised everyone one in the space station isn’t wearing masks. I guess they figure their ventilation systems will take care of any pollutants and viruses. Famous last words.
I get that people are tired of this whole thing, so am I. But the way it seems to be going is Mask Mandates – Virus retreats; Ease Mandates – Virus surges back; Rinse – Repeat…
We’re selling our house and the home inspector didn’t reset the GFI after testing it. Unfortunately our extra freezer and fridge were plugged into it. And we were out of town for the week. About $200 of meat spoiled.
The Japanese wore face masks before Covid. If they had a cold / flu then they would wear the mask to prevent spreading to others. A very courteous society.

The store shelves look remarkably empty. They may be having supply chain issues as well.

Inflation is the thief and yes, the mask mandate has been lifted.

I’m a 68 year old cancer patient, vaccinated and boosted. Hearing too many stories about new variants. Yep, I still wear a mask in public.

Mandate is one thing. Common sense is another. It ain’t over until it’s over.

I always thought it was pretty appropriate to see senators and congressmen wearing masks

Since it cost $10,000 to put one pound in earth orbit, it would seem Pam is getting a very good price.

Maybe the company still mandates them for clerks. Ever think of that?
