April Fool’s Day

National One Cent Day. That’s funny, because just before seeing this, I found a penny on the floor under my computer desk.

National Sourdough Bread Day

Take Down Tobacco National Day Of Action. I heard on the news recently that some Walmart stores are cutting back on sales of tobacco products. We got rid of cigarettes in my store weeks (maybe months) ago.

No April Fool’s joke here – I just looked at the 2 flats of impatiens that I recently planted, and I can see the barest hint of a few plants starting to peek through the soil. Not very many, but it’s a start. Bring on spring!!!!

We’re expecting snow later today. :(

Whsiplicka: Good to hear that your daughter is doing well. They blasted mine 4 yrs ago but for some reason can’t do it to these. The 11th will either by my last time or I’ll have to go in once more. These abdominal pains are just so horrible.

I’m with the cats on this one. Those leaves will add nutrients to the soil if allowed to decompose.

I go au nauteral in the autumn. I don’t rake the leaves. Leave them where they fall. We have been blessed by the leaves killing the nasty environmental hazard called grass.

Go for it, Kitty! Scatter those leaves all over the place! They can always be raked again later. On another note, saw five robins, a towhee, a junco, and a squirrel while out walking today.
