I use sunscreen on the back of my neck, and faces, arms, etc. to prevent sunburn. I wear my hat backwards when I’m driving my side-by-side to keep it from blowing off. Only have a half windshield.
How someone wears a hat doesn’t bother me as long as they wear one in the sun. Aging, thinning hair, skin cancer is a pretty common progression. Skin cancers (basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas are most common) are sneaky — you can’t feel them or see them in your hair and they aren’t that noticeable on the face either. My barber noticed my first one 25 years ago and recommended I see a doctor. It was a squamous (Much rarer and a bit nastier than basal cell). Since then regular skin checkups have found them when they are small and easily removed.
Sleep during the day and only go out at night and you don’t have to worry about the sun. My plan for retirement. I am a night owl and 30 years of having to work during the day just kills me.

but then how do you get the sun out of your eyes and prevent your forehead from getting sunburnt?

That’s why I wear a Western hat. It came in handy yesterday, grocery shopping in the rain.

I wear broad-brimmed hats most of the year. When it’s cold I wear an expedition hat. I don’t need sunshading, there’s no sun!

Western hats with brim all around. Or a kerchief on the back of the neck if it is too windy.

The only people who should wear backwards baseball caps are catchers and photographers.

I saw a meme online of a Bro with his ball cap on backwards, using his hands to shade his eyes from the sun…

There’s a reason Panama hats are popular in the tropics.

Can you actually get a sunburn if you’re covered in fur?
