One day I came by to visit and she had something like a watch without a face on her wrist. I asked her where she got it and she replied that she thought a workman had left it in her room.
I realized it was a replacement for the necklace. The problem was, whenever she fell, she forgot about it and just waited for a caregiver to come by. (She had dementia.)
