Donât ask â donât tell policy? Get to bed on time. Early to bed and early to rise (makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise) saying. Said to emphasize that someone who gets enough sleep and starts work early in the day will have a successful life. This does not apply to Born Losers. Sorry Brutus.
Wait, What? You mean people who ask "How are you? " donât want to hear about my latest trip to the doctor to treat that weird infection that might causes my toes to turn green?
Letâs face it. âHow dâyou do?â is not a question, itâs a salutation. No answer is required and the truth is that we donât expect nor want one :D
I worked with a guy like that. I never asked him how he was doing again. I was in the grocery store yesterday and a man in a wheelchair rolled up to me and started a conversation. It was one-sided. He started talking about the places heâd worked and eventually got to Uncle Joe and Aunt Sally and other relatives. Iâm standing there wondering how am I going to stop this without being rude. My wife finally came and got me.
Itâs very strange that our standard greetings in the US involve asking how people are, but they donât want the question answered. We need a new greeting. I also worked with someone who gave a full organ recital to people in response to âHi. How are you?â
Thatâs like in âThe Big Bang Theoryâ, when someone asks Sheldon a question that opens up the possibility of a long-winded explanation, and the whole room goes âNooo!â âș
I know the type â i worked with a guy that if you asked him for the time he would tell you how to make a watchâŠ. or so it seemed with any simple question. : )
Omg so timely. This morning I asked a coworker whoâs been sick if sheâs feeling better. Rookie mistake. She went into a whole health history. When she got to her visit to an allergist in 1974 I went for coffee.
youâd think that the co-worker would know better by now. or that heâd just say, âhey, brutus. things still goinâ to hell in a handbasketâŠ?â

Guess that explains why no one ever talks to me.

Yes, people that like can be annoying. You ask them a simple question and they take you down three blocks and around two corners!

That reaction is just Brutusâs way of bragging. When you are the Born Loser you want people to know it.
