Wonder how often that misunderstanding occurs in Equestria.

Think carefully. If Marigold’s forehead horn, the thing she uses to send texts with, is broken, how did you receive that message?

I have never played the french horn while jumping on a trampoline. Playing it while marching was way beyond tough enough. Do you KNOW how small the mouthpiece is on those things?? Can you imagine it continuing to come down as your body reverses course and starts to send your head upward?

Hmmm, my daughter has a trampoline and I have a trombone, I wonder…

I think only an Ursa Minor is capable of breaking a unicorn’s (non-instrumental) horn. Tempest Shadow can confirm.

Looks like the mouthpiece broke off. All that is left is a stub.

Do French unicorns have French horns on their heads?

French horn players hold the horn with one hand (or hoof?) inside the bell. Imagine Marigold doing that while bouncing on a trampoline.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, this is why it’s important to be specific about these sorts of things.

No, can’t say that I ever had, Marigold.

Honestly, I’d think I’d be constantly banging the mouthpiece into my teeth every time I land, so I don’t really see the appeal.

Sorry, which one is the ten-year-old here?

During my lifetime, for some reason the French horn has increasingly been referred to simply as “the horn.” This strip is only one illustration of why that’s not a good idea.

I’d like to see Marigold play. Questions arise like embouchure and keys. Humans, the species for which the French horn is designed, find it difficult.

I just got my test results back, and I’m afraid it doesn’t look good… I’m gonna have to retake that exam.
