@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny, when our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is sober while watching TV thinking that the world wants to get rid of them is priceless :o) my avatar is picture of a jellyfish that existing for millions of years without a single brain cell is good news for some people I know , how was your day? our Finally Friday should be a little busy but we should cope I hope we both are in a good mood , no shopping to do or errands to run , just keep inside the house and keep hydrated till this afternoon when I will have my fav nosh, keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady.
A week ago, I was in Shrewsbury with my sister and brother-in-law as I told you all on Saturday.
I mentioned my day out in Shrewsbury in each of my four favourite strips – Calvin and Hobbes, Andy Capp, Wizard of Id and Red and Rover. The commentator with the username Gandalf claimed that he had read my comments about Shrewsbury and Wimpys on Red and Rover earlier on Andy Capp. My comments on both strips covered similar ground but weren’t quite the same. I had mentioned before on both Andy Capp and Red and Rover that there had been a hamburger chain called Wimpys here in the UK. My visit to Shrewsbury showed me that there still are Wimpy Bars here so I corrected my misleading comments on both Andy Capp and Red and Rover.
The celebration for the Queen’s 70th Anniversary brings back memories for me, too. I was in the 7th Grade in school, living in Minneapolis, and we were told we would have a special day just after her coronation. A television was going to be brought into our classroom and we would be shown a film of the full ceremony. It took about 48 hours to get the film because it had to be flown to the United States first. Of course the pageantry was like a storybook fantasy better than any produced in Hollywood, and eye-opening for us kids. Unfortunately for us at that time it was before color TVs, so it was in black and white. Now it seems so long ago.
Today has been another beautiful sunny day so I went out to a park near where a friend of mine lives. I texted him to say I was standing at the bus stop outside his house if he was able to come out and say Hi. He wasn’t able to because he wasn’t ready. By that I mean he was probably in his PJ’s and not normal clothes. Haha.
I’m off to the city tomorrow to attend that market I like. Hopefully it will be another beautiful sunny day.
Enjoy your favourite nosh. Stay safe, stay well, stay cool and stay happy, pal. See you after the weekend!

Make test runs, Flo. You go to Australia and send Andy to the U.S.

Why would anyone want to be rid of the two of you?
constantine48 over 2 years ago
They want everybody moving around and being homeless. Homeless people are cheap labour.

No! Not the USA!

No, Flo—you can stay. It’s that worthless, good-for-nothing moocher you’re married to that they want to be rid of!!

Only The British could stomach Andy. Has Andy actually ever been out of Country?

Nope. Just a new, broader syndication plan.

I bet they don’t have one for Afghanistan. At least not now. If you know what I mean and I think you do…

It wouldn’t happen, Andy can’t be too far away from his dole money.

It’s kinda funny but thinking back in history, being sent to Australia from England wasn’t a good think.

If Andy tries to get into a fistfight in a pub in the US he’ll get shot. Stay in Hartlepool Andy.

The open door policy is probably just for the Capp. Flo would love Portugal. Great weather, low cost of living and super internet speed.

I’d be open to going to all those places. Especially the USA where the majority of my GoComics family reside.

They’re probably better off staying put where they are.
