Brooke’s ’toons often displays human sexuality in a uniquely fun and unbiased way.

Whatever do you mean? All we see there are swimsuits and close-ups of clasped hands. ; )

Chickweed; no boobs or buns!

Why? Because 9CL doesn’t allow comments on GoComics.

As if either one was a bad thing.

Because never once have we seen Edda or any of the female characters take a shower or even suggest that they’re naked. Pibgorn characters, yes; 9 Chickweed Lane characters NEVER!

Because Brooke doesn’t let us talk back to the comic, him or each other. John does! (And sometimes he talks back to us!)

9 Chickweed Lane has gotten boring and stodgy!

Classic 9CL was about the story arcs, and Pibgorn was about Pibby’s adventures. Snoozefest as of late.

LC has unique schtick that works very well.

I miss Guy Gilchrist’s version of Aunt Fritzi. No wonder Sluggo hung around so much. And now that I think of it, bring back Moon Mullins and Miss Swivel.

A question for y’all, since I’m too cheap to buy the 9 Chickweed lane collections and we are on the subject….is Edie Ernst USO Singer/Allied Spy Edda’s grandmother?

John, it seems the originals are getting a little “darker” these days. A prominent theme might be: “What goes around, comes around.” But, that’s how life is. Your take is often funnier thatn the originals. I’m surprised that some of the art gets through the censors.
