It doesn’t matter if I try to go to bed early. I need to wait until I feel slightly sleepy and then no matter what, I have to go to bed right then. I will wake up when the sun comes up.
My doctor explained to me that needing 20 minutes to recover from sleeping each morning was not normal. He also said going 90 seconds without breathing while sleeping on my side was also very abnormal (more than 10 seconds is abnormal). He ordered me a CPAP and oxygen concentrator (delivered that day) to get my night-time O2 levels back up to normal. Sleep has returned to being restful, and I feel much better in the morning. Don’t put off seeing a doctor if sleep leaves you feeling worse off in the morning.
What is this thing called “morning”? As one who worked second or third shift, I never dealt with it, other than occasionally see the sun come up on my way home from work. Now retired, my “mornings” start at around 11am unless I have to be somewhere. Curses on Doctors who only work in the AM.

Morning has broken…somebody fix it.
Morning people are respected – night people are feared.
Mornings should be taken out and shot at dawn.

I understand where she’s coming from. Many nights I don’t sleep well; various things militate against a solid night’s sleep.

This morning I went to the office early.
I switched places of the M’s and N’s on as many keyboards as I could.
Some people would say I am a monster but others would say nomster.

Aunty, you might try going to bed early as in before midnight, instead of early as in just before dawn.

It could be you’re sleeping to much and now your body demands it.
