How prescient.

Here’s a rumor thatijustmadeup: After Twitter totally collapses due to the “brilliant” leadership of Elon Musk, a new similar platform arises called “E-Vent.” It will be similar to Yelp, but for people wanting to express irritation at the world in general. The logo is a cartoon of Aunty Acid holding a female Rottweiler on a leash.

When I was a pilot, I used to have an expression. “Flying is a calculated risk. Do it often enough and it will eventually kill you. The objective is to stack the odds so much in your favor that something else, preferably old age, will kill you first.” It looks like old age is going to win this contest.

Do everything you can to load the dice and, if you like the odds, take the shot.

Most of my life has been more good fortune than misfortune. Luck is what you make it.

Then you turned to drink and Voila!

In one respect, life is a series of unfortunate events; there have been plenty of unfortunate events in my life; some caused externally by someone else (someone runs a stop sign and hits you type events) or internally, caused by my own bad decisions. While I have had plenty of unfortunate events, the fortunate events out number the unfortunate.

Hmmm. Lemony Snicket would be a great name for a cookie……or a pie.
