There’s an old proverb out there, French, I believe; “Forty is the old age of youth & 50 is the youth of old age.” First time I read it, I was IN my forties & I told my husband that I guess I’m invisible now, because I’m not young any more, I’m over forty & can’t be called old b/c I’m not fifty yet!

I thought 60 was the new 40. I can’t keep up. All I know is that old people are making the rules of age.

Anyone who rudely insinuates I am old and to move had best be better able to move than I can.
