To jump start the economy, removing the restrictions on oil leases and opening up the potential of offshore and ANWR would move in the right direction – even if the lifespan is limited.
Refining capacity is declining due to uncertainty from this administration. Biden and Granholm have called for more refining. Why spend money on facilities that the administration declares they are going to shut down after the election?
Wind energy production doubled and solar energy production increased by 47% from 2017-2020, in conjunction with oil production increases to achieve energy independence. The all of the above strategy worked.
Since there are 270 million gas and diesel powered vehicles, gas and diesel will be around for quite some time. Biden is pushing for 50% (8.5 million) EV new sale vehicles by 2030. I believe the industry is mature enough to blow that estimate away, rare earth elements for batteries as a potential restriction. But using Biden’s numbers, 8.5 million gas vehicles will be sold. Gas will be needed for a long time.
The Trump administration understood they could walk and chew gum at the same time. They were building a bigger pie to be shared with everyone getting more at lower costs. The progressives seem to only see a smaller pie to be divided into winners and losers and everyone pays more.
Ignoring the fact that Republicans have repeatedly voted against everything that would help reduce inflation and fuel prices.
As it is, the economy is actually doing OK in itself. Lots of people are taking vacations and still spending money. Would be doing better if the Republicans would stop playing partisan politics trying to save their jobs. We are going to vote them out anyway, so they might as well do a little good before they go. Otherwise, we will get it done when they have to go back to regular jobs.
We in Texas are grateful for the windmills; they are keeping our grid from crashing right now. If it gets much hotter, they may not hold it together. We need more of them.
Sometimes these pro-repub toonists get it right without knowing it. The use of alternative energy production to fuel the economy is actually a great idea. We should be leading the world in AEP not lagging behind China and other nations. And yes, we do need to promote nuclear energy production especially if we use thorium reactors for their added safety and much lower waste problems.
Between the Green movement using additional 2000 gallons of Diesel for every supertanker, the landfills filling up in Montana with non-biodegradable windmill blades, moving half a ton of earth for one element for one 500-pound battery. Yeah, its really clean. Don’t think so!
This is right on the money. In the summer of 2021 California was unable to buy electricity from neighboring states to supply their load, due to the extreme heat that year. These are states that produce their power with a lot of fossil fuel including coal. So California had to fire up their DIESEL powered generators to minimize rolling brown outs. California has already closed Rancho Seco and San Onofre Nuclear power plants and plan to shutdown Diablo Canyon plants in the future. Not very Green in my opinion, because the only base load plants will be Natural Gas. Can you say megatons of carbon dioxide and a whole lot of global warming?
The Supreme Court has sided with the state of Mississippi and overturned Roe v. Wade. The opinion was written by Justice Samuel Alito.
Alito asserted that Roe was “egregiously wrong” and “on a collision course with the Constitution from the day it was decided.”
“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote. “Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division.”

Oh dear oh dear. It isn’t perfect so we must, of course, not do any part of it!
That’s not sarcasm. That’s channeling the right whingers.

You notice, of course, while democrats are actually trying to fix things, Republicans are nowhere to be found.

The problem is American oligarchs jacking the prices of everything in order to sabotage the Biden Administration.

Completely off topic but:
The Supreme Court has sided with the state of Mississippi and overturned Roe v. Wade. The opinion was written by Justice Samuel Alito.
Alito asserted that Roe was “egregiously wrong” and “on a collision course with the Constitution from the day it was decided.”
“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote. “Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division.”
