What if nature calls?
A perfect win-win situation.
What if the balloon pops somehow?
A great plan is something beautiful
Here’s the one that inspired the title of the first C&H book collection I ever owned as a child.
For Calvin, it’s worth the wait if it’s for Susie.
But before that happens, the branch breaks, and Calvin falls head-first to Mother Earth!!
Hobbes is OK; he clings to the trunk with his claws.
Isn’t it long past time for Susie’s parents to get a restraining order against Calvin??
If he sat in that tree in mid February where I live (Thousand Islands, NY) he could actually kill Susie with a big ice filled balloon. Of course, that’s assuming that he wouldn’t die of exposure.
TITLE DROP
It’s better to sit by a pool or a creek!
“The days just are packed!”
It’s similar to the reward for fishing from a bank. If the fish aren’t biting, there’s still the scenery and quiet.
This plan better go better than the one you cooked up yesterday…https://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/2022/07/21?ct=v&cti=2208697
Do Tigers lurk in trees? I thought they were more of a ground attack animal.
This was the first Calvin and Hobbes comic I ever read.
Fishing is fishing even if you are only waiting for suckers.
Those were the days.
Ah, young love!
Hobbes… “I love Summer…” Sitting with your boy up on a tree branch.

Why F with a smart kid in Susie who might actually help him in school? Only a comic, right.
Calvin, go out a little further to make sure you have a great view!
Susie is the only target for his water balloons. He should try to hit Moe for once
Revenge – a dish best served after your buns have gone to sleep in a tree.
Imagine Calvin sitting still for that long. I can’t.
Roll credits!
Or at least the credits for the book in question…
The titular strip for “The Days Are Just Packed” book collection!
Hobbes has more obviously mixed feelings about Susie than Calvin has.
Well, you can’t say he’s out of his tree.
Calvin is kind of a jerk, actually.
Then well…
